Buffalo Pass Ranch is a small family farm located in north central Minnesota. Our name, Buffalo Pass, has historical significance. Traveling east or west, buffalo passed between lakes and lowlands extending north and south.

Early settlers with covered wagons and ox carts followed this trail as did modern highways with a bridge located 1/2 mile to the south, now Ottertail County Road 82 and Interstate 94.

In dry years buffalo skulls have been found in the mud alongside this pass. Our buffalo today still use this trail to pass over to their natural prairie pasture.

We have been raising buffalo for over 10 years. We are a working farm. We do it all from cutting our own hay, feeding the hay, fixing fence, to marketing our meat. Buffalo Ranching is all we do and we are proud of the proven quality of our animals. We have won many awards over the years both regional and national.

We take pride in our farm, our animals, and our great tasting, healthy red meat!
